Appalachian Smoke started its Competition BBQ Team in Jan. 2010. We are members of the Kansas City BBQ Society and the National BBQ Association. Our team was formed out of a desire to go out and compete with some of the best BBQ cooks in the country.

Our Team consists of Myself as Pitmaster, my wife Debbie Medford and our two invaluable team members Kyle and Angie Wilson.

We cook on a Ole Hickory CTO smoker and a Traeger pellet smoker. Ole Hickory produces one of the best smokers on the market. It consistently delivers the cooking results we demand. Traeger's traditional design combined with its "state of the art" technology delivers professional results every time we cook.
